We just received the news today that one of our Monarchs that we tagged September 23, 2002 was recovered in Sierra Chincua, MX on March 3 of this year. It traveled 1586 miles. This was one of almost 600 that was tagged at our house that season. We didn't tag any butterfiles this year however will probably tag again next year. I am just amazed at the journey this little gal must have had.
