Tulips PLANTED

Date: 11/17/2003

Number: 1

Today we planted our tulips in the courtyard of our new school. We are excited to be able to get them planted between the rainy days we have been having this fall. This summer and fall we have had more rainy days than we have had in two years! Our bulbs are the required Red Emperor Tulips and are planted 8 inches deep. We tried a few experimental bulbs. We have planted some sideways bulbs, upside down bulbs, a couple bulbs are 1 inch deep and we created twin bulbs(one on top of the other) to see what will happen to them in the spring. We marked our regular bulbs and then our experimental bulbs. We will let you know what happened to them in Spring of 2004. We look forward this spring to reading about the gardens in other parts of the country too. Have a good winter! Mrs. Ference's Class
