This year's Journey North's tulip garden at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center was planted by the Mrs. Rosemary Wolfgang's first grade class from School #20. The first graders also planted a Journey North garden with help from the sixth graders at their school this year. The sixth graders already had a wonderful experience with the tulip project 2002-2003 at our center. Their teacher, Mrs Floess, plans to have her students learn more about "Tulipmania" when they study the Dutch fur traders who settled here in the 17th century. Five other schools planted Journey North tulip gardens at their schools and we plan to compare bloom dates locally as well as nationally. The city gardener provided all the bulbs again this year for the Visitors Center and the following Albany Public Schools: #16, #18, #19, #20 and T.O.A.S.T.). I am also happy to report Judy Stacey and her staff have finished planting 200,000 tulips bulbs in Albany again. We would love to have you all visit us this spr
