Franklin Park Conservatory has designed a Butterfly Garden for the West Mallway for 2004. We will be adding permanent signage, viewing spots, backpacks filled with Family activities for loan, and of course hundreds of plantings to attract wildlife, especially butterflies. We are also developing an indoor display of the complete lifecycle of the live monarch so visitors can get an upclose view. We have just signed on as an observation site and look forward to partnering with our community gardeners visitors and volunteers to provide extra eyes this spring.
