We planted our brand new emperor tulips on October 30, 2003. We found the remains of old tulip bulbs from last year so we replanted them in a different spot. It will be interesting to see what happens. Why do tulips have to be planted every year? Years ago you could plant them and they would come up for years and years without replanting. Why have things changed?
