The Bald Eagle was pearched in a tree next to the Chemung River at the end of Oakdale Dr. in the Town of Elmira. The time was approximately 1:00 PM. There were about 10 to 15 people observing the eagle and most of the people were walking dogs. The Eagle stayed in the tree in full view for approximately 20 minutes. The Eagle then flew up river, turned around and pearched in a pine tree directly across the river from its original sighting. The pine tree was approximately three quaters up a very steep hill.
