Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/29/2004

Number: 1

We have over-wintering robins. Quite less in northern NB, but
provincial observations are pretty constant.

This year, berries and other food source is very low. Cold weather is
also another factor. We had 2 weeks of -20oC (-40o wind chill) in
January and very little snow fall. What seems to be in greater number
this year is waxwings. Bohemians and cedars waxwings are popping in crab
apple trees all over the region.
