Saw a lone robin in my backyard at the heated birdbath and it proceeded to check out the apples, raisins, and dried cherries I had in the feeding bowl. Weather has been very cold for the past couple weeks and drinking water is hard to find.
We have seen flocks of robins (5 to 50)from time to time over the past five or six winters here in the Detroit area. They enjoy the crab apple trees and any fruit put out for them.
