For several years I have reported about the over wintering wonderful Robins. This year they are still with us. At my home I spotted 12 very healthy males in a cottonwood tree.
Not far away at my school, ~20 were scarfing down the remnants of crab apples in our orchard. They also feast on the Juniper berries in various places on campus. Their very rusty color is a great contrast to other washed out parts of the landscape. Every year I do a Robin project to call attention to their presence with us in the snowy days.
