Signs of spring are starting to appear. Yesterday, several flocks of sandhill cranes passed over the area, heading north. One of our students saw another flock this morning. We have learned their call, so we can make sure they are not geese. We have also noticed that the days are getting shorter. It is still cold, and today we are having light snow, but spring is on the way.
