Yesterday afternoon, around 4pm, my husband and I were leaving the house for a brisk winter walk, when we noticed that our American Holly was playing host to a half-dozen or so Robins, who were very eagerly gobbling up its bright-red berries. What a cheerful sight! This morning, when I checked on the holly for more of the birds, I saw that the entire tree had been stripped of every last berry...there most be some very pudgy Robins around my neighborhood now!
