We have Canada Geese that spend the winter here. I live next to the canyon where the Crooked River flows. One of the signs of spring we look forward to is the honking of the geese as they start claiming nesting territories on canyon ledges. They started about the end of January this year. I don't know if they are the same Canada Geese that I have seen down on the river throughout winter or if they are new ones coming in.
