For the past few winters I have observed robins in the middle of winter. Two years ago, during a snow storm, my front landscaping was covered with robins eatting berries that remained on trees and bushes. I saw one this December as well as a couple during a snow
storm on February 2. Nothing like seeing a sign of Spring on Groundhog's
Day. It is wonderful to see the wintering robins on the cold snowy days - it give some hope that spring will be here soon.
