We were out in the yard beside our classroom. We live in a small rural town in NE Georgia. The temperature has been in the 30 to 40 degree range so far in February. We were putting slices of trees outside to observe how they change. As we were talking, we became aware of birds singing. We stopped and began looking around and robins were in the trees, on the ground and flying in the air. We heard them singing. It was wonderful! A hint of spring in the air made us excited about the changing weather .
