I was delighted to see a robin hopping in my neighbor's back yard and ran to get my 4 year old daughter who is very interested in bird watching. While watching, we noticed there were over 35 birds hopping in the leaves of a relatively small back yard. My neighbor is about the only one in the neighborhood who doesn't get rid of her leaves, but rather uses them for winter mulch in her beds. The robins are extremely busy picking up leaves and tossing them aside. I assume they are looking for worms, but haven't seen any eating anything. Oh, they've just all taken off - all but two that I can see. Now those left as well. Curious, but very exciting. Had to tell someone!
