I read your report on robin migration and wanted to notify you that as of 02/14/04 I have had the pleasure of witnesses a dozen or more robins in my backyard. I live just north of Albany, NY and we are still in the heart of winter! This is very unusual. The robins seem to love my apple tree that has managed to hang onto it's apples from last Fall. So, they are eating, singing, and flying around this tree.
I am really wondering why they have arrived so early and what will they eat when the apples run out?
