Suddenly, after weeks and weeks of no robins, they've appeared in my back yard. I was on the deck with my six-year-old son watching a RARELY seen Pileated Woodpecker with the binoculars. I had a vague thought of: "Oh. Look at the robins," and a split second later I said, "Robins! Oh, yeah!" Then we came rushing in the house to report our sighting.
