We had a lovely surprise this morning! Seven of our 24 tulips have emerged! We have had unseasonably warm weather for the past few days. Outdoor recess in February? This same week last year, we were snowed in with no electricity.
We measured our bulbs last fall. After charting which ones emerged, we found that except for one (124 mm) the bulbs were all 132 mm or larger. hmmm.
We also received a letter from Mexico letting our class know at least one of our butterflies is over-wintering safely.
