I have just returned from Mexico. My friend from Cuernavaca and I visited El Rosario on 02/14/04. I am very sorry to say what a disappointment. We were there on 02/19/99. That was the most incrediable day. The logging of the trees since then to now is horrible. We walked the entire trail to see them. The ground was litter with dead butterflies but there was activity but nothing like 5 years ago. The worst thing I saw was in the little markets there were wooden logging trucks for sale along side monarch gifts.
