Bald Eagle

Date: 02/18/2004

Number: 1

At approximately 1330 hours I observed a mature bald eagle on an ice flow on the southern edge of Lake Ontario. The eagle had just killed an unidentified water fowl and was feeding on it on the ice flow. I observed this magnificent bird for about 40 minutes until it was spooked and flew east along the shore.
