Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/02/2004

Number: 1

There were red-winged blackbirds singing like crazy outside our school today. We also saw lots of robins, but we didn't hear them singing. We will keep our ears open for robins and peepers in the next few days. Other signs of spring we noticed were earthworms, two frogs, a rodent, a little orange butterfly, other flying insects, moss that was greening up, grass that was greening up, new little leaves growing in our garden, one tulip (we won't report till more come up), warm breezes, shrubs budding out, crocuses and daffodils blooming, and a dandelion blooming. Spring is here!!!! YEA!
