Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 03/01/2004

Number: 1

A few Monarchs have wintered with us in Rockport as they do every
winter. The so called "Winter" was so mild that they continued to lay eggs
and raise little ones as long as the Asclepias tuberosa holds out. the
caterpillars eat it all ---then a new crop of leaves brought more
Monarchs all winter season. We miss most of the mass migration but are
happy with our local group.
