It is a rainy day on the Mizzou campus. The temperature is 45 degrees Fahrenheit and the time is 8:50 AM. A student told me she saw lots of robins on the mall. I hurried out, because I had hopes of seeing my first wave. However, I only saw three. They were picking through the mulch on the gardens, I'm not sure if they wanted worms or materials for making nests or both. I heard them singing. I've heard that sound all my life but I never realized what bird was singing. Now I know.
