Hurray, we finally emerged! Our class was a bit concerned due to our other second grade sightings! We talked about location, snow cover, depth of plantings and amount of sunlight. Once our tulips emerged, they quickly caught up to the other classes. Today, (3/3/04) they are 2 inches high, a beautiful maroon red and starting to spread their leaves...oh the wonderful signs of spring begin!
