I'm not positive this is my first sighting. I keep thinking, I saw a couple about 2 months ago down the street taking my kids to school. But if that isn't true, yesterday was the first sighting at the school grounds. The robin was pecking at something on the sidewalk below some steps in an alleyway.
It has been unseasonably warm, (60 F). usually in the 40's this time of year, or colder.
Been planting my yard to accomadate hummers, butterflies and song birds for a few years now, hopefully, I'll see some hummers this year.------One more note--- the usual woodpecker that knocks on our alumminum ladder each spring has not shown yet.
