Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 03/02/2004

Number: 1

Male robins have arrived on my property and have begun singing wildly while we are experiencing some warmer-than-average temps. They appear to be laying claim to their terratories and are eating to restore bodyfat. As yet, I have not observed any male/female pairs. I therefore have concluded that the females have not arrived as yet. Right now, the weather has taken a turn for the worse and we are experiencing some near freezing temps; as a result, the worms have retreated below ground. The forecast is for warming temps next week, so hopefully the food source will return in abundance as the arrivals attempt to "beef up."
