All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/09/2004

March came in like a lamb here lastweek, but is turning into a kitten now. The snow was all gone with 60 degree temperatures, today it's in the low 30's. During my "spring break" I did get to dig some carrots and noticed earthworms in the soil. The Daffodils are pushing through, and they looked so good against the earth. Farmers are taping the Sugar Maples and boiling sap daily. There seem to be a lot of Canada Geese passing through and resting on the flooded fields. At the Eagle's nest you can see the top of a head just peeking over. Also saw three fat Robins enjoying a bath in a mud puddle while it was still warm. The White Tails have left the yard and have gone back to where ever it is they came from.
