We are finally seeing our garden wake up! Three bulbs emerged on 3-6-04. Our 3rd grade students were thrilled.Their observations include: all 3 are in a part of the garden that gets the most shade; one is our "sideways" experiment bulb; no bulbs in the sunny part of the garden have emerged. Questions posed by the students: why did one of the experiment bulbs come up first?...is the afternoon sun from the west warmer than the morning eastern sun?...maybe morning shade bulbs get more heat when the sun moves to their side in the afternoon...This was a good day!
