We saw the first tulip shoot on March 8th. That is very early for this area, but that may be because the heavy blanket of snow this winter prevented the ground from freezing as deep as usual. We also had an unseasonably warm final week of February.
Those two things are probably responsible for this early arrival.

Hopefully this early sprout will bring spring along with it!
