We had our first robine sighting today at O'Donnell school here in Aurora, IL. That got us excited enough to go out to what we thought was our still sleeping garden. How surprised we were to see our Red Empire tulips poking up through the soil! We also noticed other signs of life as some of our daffodils are comming up along with some of our other hardy plants. A sure sign of spring for us is the return of our faithful Mallard couple Mable and Frank. They have been coming back to the school each spring to raise their family for several years.
