Ice started to recede from the shoreline during the warm spell in February. Total ice was gone March 10, 2004. Wonderful to see how the wind breaks up the ice here on Whitewater Lake & neighboring little Rice Lake which always loses its ice a couple days earlier than Whitewater Lake.
