Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/09/2004

Number: 1

Sited on school campus (R B Wright School. Around midday. The monarch was in a protected area between two
buildings. It did not appear to have wing damage. The
weather was sunny. The monarch was flying from one plant to
another. I believe I identified it correctly. Tallahassee is
about 60 miles below us and monarchs have been sited there,
so it tracks they are going north through us! I will let you
know. I have milkweed (bloodflower) blooming in my yard..in
a protected area. I have not seen a monarch there yet,
however.(Confirmed CS)
