Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/16/2004

Number: 1

Our teacher, Mrs. Lee was so excited when she first saw the tips of our emerging tulips in our school courtyard. Our tulips are protected from deer that would eat them because they in an enclosed courtyard. Our whole class went outside to the courtyard to observe them and we noticed that they were able to sprout through the cold, snow covered ground. Some tulips looked bigger than others. On the edges we noticed that there is a reddish-marroon color on the emerged tulip leaves. We can't wait to see our Red Emperor Tulips in full bloom.
