It will be a while before Moosehead Lake is free of ice. Last weekend a racing group raced cars in the cove in Greenville. Several snowmobiles have gone through the ice near the mouth of rivers.... but the ice is still quite thick in most places. Ice-out comes pretty late in the Spring here.
