After such a very frigid winter it was such a wonderful and hopeful sign that Spring is indeed on its way to our part of the country. Our reason for thinking this was our trip today out to our courtyard at the Downey School and we not only saw Red Emperor tulips emerged but also observed several places where the soil was actually being pushed away as other tulips were emerging! Just last week we did a survey of other classes to graph predictions as to when the tulips would emerge and very few thought we would see anything before April 1! By the way, today was the warmest day we have had in months!
