Thanks to the baby monitor I keep out on our deck year round, to hear the birds when all the windows are shut, I heard, then saw my first robin this morning. Three days later than last year.

I heard several peek and tut calls, then a whinny call, no mistaking it was a robin. We live in a heavily wooded area, so at first I couldn't see him but then he flew overhead and was gone.

Looking forward to seeing more in the days and weeks to follow.
