We spotted our first adult monarch of the season while working in our outdoor classroom at school. It was a large, healthy female. There are some tropical milkweed plants that we have over wintered in the garden, but still no sign of the native milkweed. We hope we will soon have eggs and that she will be the first of many monarchs to visit our garden.
