I saw several monarchs on the wing about noon today on Highway 29 between
Llano and Kingsland Texas. One was certainly a very fresh male. I saw it
sitting for a few moments on some dead vegitation, and could see the scent
pads, bright orange upperside, and thin black upper hind wing wing veins.
