Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/28/2004

Number: 1

While sitting
out watching my bird feeders this afternoon, about 12:30, I saw a monarch.
it was meandering back and forth, did so for several minutes. I went into
the house for a couple of minutes, and when I came out, it was gone. It was
bright orange, and looked in good condition. About 30 minutes later, I saw
another. the orange was not nearly as bright as the first one. it too was
flying back and forth. After landing for a moment on an Indian Paintbrush,
it flew up and over the house and I lost sight of it. I hope this
information may be useful. We bird at least once a week, and will try to
keep notes on any monarchs that we see.
