Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/14/2004

Number: 1

I have seen two Monarchs in the last several weeks. The first was in Port
Aransas at the birding center on March 14; it looked to be in good shape but
it was sitting on the bare ground in the flower garden which seemed a bit
odd. The second was this week here in Austin where I saw a single Monarch
on the 23rd. I remember that particular one because it was flying around
some lantana near the entrance to Seton Hospital and it was terribly worn
and tattered. That's what I've seen.
