First song sparrows arrived on Monday, March 29th. I've missed their song without even realizing it. I heard a Phoebe singing this morning for the first time (April 1). Bloodroot is poking up in the garden against the south side of my house. Earthworms were covering the roads at dawn after last night's rain, but an hour later they seemed to have moved on--probably to get away from the sun's damaging rays. My friend Maria said she heard the first peepers yesterday--I can't wait to hear them too.
