My mom was just talking about how on this date last year we saw our first ruby-throated hummingbird of thew year. A few minutes later, she calls us over to the kitchen: "A hummingbird is at the feeder!!" Sure enough, an adorable little male hummer boldly perched on the perches of our window-mount feeder, tried to drink (the feeder was empty from a leak) and then tried the other side. Then he checked out our red suet feeders before flying off. Needless to say, I immediately made some sugar water, and my sister fixed the leak! The hummingbirds are here!!!
