Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/07/2004

Number: 1

We found our first eggs on the Asclepias viridis fields here in the
Clinton, Mississippi area. Only 2 eggs were found on more than 100
plants inspected and no adults or larvae were seen. I have been
monitoring this site since around 20 March and in Spring and Fall since
1996. This is certainly the latest spring arrival during this period.
