First monarch was sighted April 6th. I have seen three this past week (writing 4/13/04).
The monarchs were getting nectar from flowers.
I have not seen any milkweed and we have an abundance in our yard. As for
new monarchs or older monarchs, I do not know.
The weather has been sunny and warm here the past two weeks and I was
surprised and happy to see the butterflies I saw. Most were near wooded
areas.
