The weather has been a rollercoaster ride -- very cool (low 40's to 70's) over the last two weeks. We did have a couple warm days close together, and that seemed to be the catalyst -- first some plants from last year's garden bloomed, then on Sunday a few had opened in our current garden. When we came in on Monday morning this year's garden was almost fully bloomed (on the previous Friday not one blossom was to be seen). It is possible that the first was open on Saturday, however, no one was here to see any. The nice thing about having left last year's bulbs in (or many of them) was that each child was able to pick one to take home, without affecting our current plantings.
