An observation. Out of five hanging chrysalis in my garden, only 2 hatched successfully. Two "disappeared", presumed eaten; one turned black but never opened, probably the parasite; and two hatched and flew away.

Of two later chrysalis, I am two-for-two of successful hatchings, both male.
