All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 05/01/2004

Number: 1

Around 9 am, walking along the shoreline of Lake Monona, I saw
a flock of cedar waxwings feeding on berries. It was hard to
count because they kept moving about, but there must have been
50 birds. I don't see these birds in our neighborhood during the
summer, but they pass through in the spring, on their way up
north.
