Tulips BLOOMED

All of our tulips are nowing blooming! They are very beautiful, and every bulb we planted worked except for one. It's possible that a little critter could have eaten the bulb, or maybe we got one that just didn't have what it takes to get through a Vermont winter. All of the classes on the Green Team Strand of our school went on a field trip together to the Wochester Ecotarium on Friday. The third through fifth graders did a program on soil, and learned a lot about which kinds of soils work for growing things. Some of the soil we planted our tulips in was not ideal- having more clay content than is best. However, you'd never know it looking at the tulips- all are tall and straight and well formed with great looking red blooms. The Primary classes have their tulips planted in our school courtyard, and so everyone sees them outside the library and music room windows.
