I made a big mistake on my initial report about a milkweed sighting. It turns out that the 3 bushes I thought were milkweed are in fact perennial butterfly bushes. I do have some milkweed seedlings germinating now in a greenhouse. I am so sorry for the false alarm!!! I was taking a 2 day class about monarch butterflies, and in my excitement "jumped the gun" when I saw all those leaves!!! I hope I didn't mess up any research data. No wonder I was the only one from Georgia who had "sighted" some milkweed.
