Bald Eagle

Date: 04/25/2004

Number: 1

Sitting on my back porch the two local bald eagles came in for a landing in a nearby tree. No sooner did they land when the female took back off. She was quickly followed by the male. As they rose to a significant altitude he grabbed her in what I could only guess was their mating ritual and they tumbled toward the earth. Right before they struck the creek bed behind my home they released and sored off in different directions. It was one of the most incredible things I had ever seen.
